This course describes the skills and knowledge required to operate and shift loads using wheel loader operations.
This unit applies to those working in site-based roles.
The essential outcomes;
- Plan and prepare for wheel loader operations
- Operate the wheel loader in line with established requirements to complete work activity
- Conduct housekeeping activities.

This is a nationally accredited training program. Upon successful completion of the program participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
- Student must be over 18 years of age
- Must have 100 points of identification (Work Safe Qld’s ID requirements)
- USI (Unique Student Identifier), obtain your own USI via the www.usi.gov.au website
- Be able to read and write in plain English
- Steel capped/composite boots
- Long-sleeved, high visibility shirt
- Long pants
- Hard hat
- Safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and high visibility vests can be supplied if required.
- 100 points of identification as per (Work Safe Qld’s ID requirements)
- Pen and notepad
- Lunch and water bottle. A service station is located next door, other lunch options are located close by.
